As a Network Security Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for presenting the solution to prospective customers, creating and delivering demonstrations of solutions, developing solution selling aptitude.

This Sales Engineer position is focused on modern malware, virtualised environment security, scripting, orchestration tools, application signature customisation, centralise management, SD-WAN, etc.

It will require a candidate with a broad understanding of the security needs in modern Data Centre environments, and a creative, problem discovery and solving approach to enabling VT Cyber to meet the needs of customers running these environments

Job Description
Essential Functions
  • Work closely and partnership with the Sales Account Manager
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
  • Supports partners’ business objectives to help the partnership thrive
  • Provides technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Contributes to sales strategy and helps translate strategy into tactics
  • Responsible for consulting with customers or partners in selling and supporting company products and solutions
  • Supports road shows and events
  • Provides hands-on expertise for customer trials
  • Report to a Sales Engineering Manager of your area
  • Work in partnership with the Sales Account manager or their Sales team
  • Demonstrate quota commitment of their team or their area
  • Solution selling focus
  • Lead strategic (organisational) opportunities
  • Lead Main accounts and/or named accounts and/or Technical Account
  • Lead Technically RFI/RFP customer opportunities in collaboration with Sales team
  • Deliver a clear VT Cyber strategy, messaging and positioning using Network Security SE Readiness tools (Whiteboard, Presentation, Pitch…)
  • Customise product presentations using an advanced solution-based sales approach
  • Proactively provide consultative support to their customers
  • Develop a trusted advisor aptitude in their named accounts
  • Lead and Manage customer POC and Create documentations: Test plan and results
  • Understand business requirements involved with technical account strategy
  • Lead their named partner list
  • Lead the ramp up of their partners running our partner program
  • Join partner Solution demonstrations and POCs
  • Join partner strategic customer meeting
  • Organise Version update, Partner and partner customer workshop, common events
  • Track Partner certifications
Technical Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of VT Cyber's vendor core solutions: (SOC, Endpoint Detection Response, SCADA Security, ADC, NG Firewall, IPS/IDS, AV security knowledge, Centralise Management, Virtualisation, Network, routing, DNS Services, Advanced Malware, SSL)
  • High level knowledge of all other VT Cyber's Vendor Solutions (SOC, Endpoint Detection Response, SCADA Security, ADC, DLP, Internal threats, Web & Email Content Inspection, Cloud, Scripting)
  • Actively participate in a Virtual Team
  • Work effectively with Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Support organisations
  • Solve problems independently and creatively

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Experience as Sales Engineer at a security vendor or partner
  • Experience working on named Accounts and complex environments
  • Experience from companies in the enterprise networking security and Network space
  • Experience installing, configuring and integrating a complex Security environment
  • Experience understanding Cybersecurity, Exploits, malware, threat signatures and their creation
  • Experience with Channel partners and understanding of a channel centric go to market approach
